I am currently working on building an Automatic Paraphrase Scoring (APS) system to effectively integrate the artificial intelligence (AI) into language assessment, especially writing evaluation for second language (L2) learners. I believe establishing this APS would help reduce the cost and burden on grading large volume of essays for teachers and practitioners in the field of English language teaching.
AI-Enhanced EFL Conversations
I am developing an AI-driven conversational platform for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners to improve their grammar proficiency. This system, powered by ChatGPT and enhanced with speech recognition and text-to-speech (TTS) technologies, enables real-time interaction.
Learners can speak directly to the platform, which transcribes their input, corrects grammatical errors, provides explanations, and responds with voiced feedback. By combining Google Speech-to-Text, OpenAI GPT-4, and Google TTS, the platform offers an immersive, interactive experience that reinforces grammar acquisition while enhancing speaking and listening skills.
